I have been in a long distance relationship and only as of recently, have we reunited and been able to say the words “See you at home” . I have grown up with so many songs and artists that capture what it’s like for love to be lost, and very rarely found - especially in today’s music climate. I want to give the feeling to a listener that maybe there is still someone waiting for you, even if it’s across the world. What would it be like to bring back hopeful music? As someone who is influenced by Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Al Green, and Erykah Badu I strive to bring back listeners to the feeling of true soul music, true music that makes you feel like love is worth it again.
